Many thanks for your interests in the first CGIAR-CSI Mini-Grants!
We received seven applications on various topics (climate, soil, market, biodiversity, …), and we selected top two datasets from the double-blind review:
- A Suite of Global Accessibility Indicators for Sustainable Rural Development
(submitted by Andy Nelson, University of Twente/ITC) - Global Geospatial PET and Aridity Index Database – Version 2
(submitted by Antonio Trabucco, CMCC)
Additionally, we are very happy to share the news that our sister Community of Practice on Crop Modeling kindly agreed to support another highly recommended dataset, Gridded Climate Datasets and Tools for CGIAR Modelling Applications (submitted by Peter Jones, Waen Associates Ltd), for its overlapping benefits to the crop modeling scientists.
We are all very excited to have these three key geospatial datasets to be made openly available in next few months. Please join us to congratulate Andy, Antonio, and Peter!
